2011-2012 Masterclass Series
Birmingham Children's Theatre is excited to offer students the opportunity to learn from world class performers in the BCT Academy of Performing Arts Masterclass series. Through BCT and Broadway in Birmingham’s Partnership in Arts Education, two of our Masterclasses available in the 2011-2012 season will give students the chance to learn from touring Broadway professionals from the casts of “Les Misérables” and “Wicked”! In each of our Masterclasses, you can be assured your child will be in good hands as BCT's highly-qualified theatre artists share valuable information and training on the skills necessary for performance. These classes are available to children in 3rd-10th grade only. No auditions required.
Les Misérables Masterclass
with members of the national tour cast of "Les Misérables" presented by Broadway in Birmingham
Meets: Thursday, September 22, 2011, 3:30-5:00pm in BCT's BJCC performance spaces.

About the Academy
BCT Academy at the Birmingham Children's Theatre, one of the nation's oldest and largest professional theaters for children, draws on a six decade legacy of educating and entertaining over twelve million children. Our curriculum instills fundamental childhood growth skills: teamwork, interpersonal communication, reading, comprehension, self-confidence, self-discipline and leadership; while fostering creativity, imagination and a playful curiosity. Academy instructors are highly qualified, working theatre artists. Class enrollments are limited to ensure that your child will have access to one-on-one instruction. BCT Academy sessions culminate with a performance piece involving every child.
