Adults
Birmingham Children’s Theatre, an adult professional (non-equity) company performing for youth and family audiences, holds open auditions three times yearly at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex Theater. Check the website for exact days and times. Roles are always available for adult male and female actors. Child actors are used for specific shows and should be ages 8 to 18.. Please call (205) 458-8181 to schedule an audition appointment.
Interested performers should:
- be 18 years or older {adult auditions}
- call for an appointment
- bring a headshot, resume, and clothing/shoes for a brief movement audition
- prepare 2 contrasting monologues not to exceed 90 seconds total
- Most shows are musicals. Please bring sheet music for 16 bars of singing. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in the proper key.
