MAINSTAGE SERIES:

Load-In Time: 2-6 hours | Performance Time: 60 Minutes

Load-Out Time: 1-2 hours | Cast and Crew Size: 5-7 Actors, 1 Stage Manager

Recommended Grades: Second to Sixth

Your senses will be bombarded as you are immersed in exciting Hispanic costumes, dance, music and impressive action scenes with the "Fox" himself, Zorro! Based on the 1919 novella by Johnston McCulley, this BCT production focuses on HISPANIC CULTURE and the HISTORY of settling the Missions of California.

What beauty you will find in unexpected places when Birmingham Children's Theatre presents Beauty and the Beast! This enchanted tale of a magic castle, a beautiful maiden and a hideous beast teaches CHARACTER and LIFE SKILLS through the story's moral of not making judgments based solely on appearance.

WEE FOLKS SERIES:

Load-In Time: 1-2 hours | Performance Time: 45-50 Minutes

Load-Out Time: 1 hour | Cast and Crew Size: 4 Actors

Recommended Grades: Pre-K to Second

Based on a tale by The Brothers Grimm, The Frog Prince tells the story of a beautiful princess and a green, slimy frog. When the princess loses her golden ball down the well, the frog retrieves it for her. To pay back the act of kindness the princess must KISS THE FROG! With help from the audience, the princess may realize that there is more to this frog than meets the eye.

This is a classic tale with a modern BCT twist! Hansel and Gretel's parents are obsessed with brushing, flossing and healthy eating. Leaving home in search of goodies, the youngsters find their way to Cupcake Castle. Miss Licorice, the proprietress, urges them to stay and dine exclusively on sweets... All-You-Can-Eat-Treats! Life is great until Hansel and Gretel discover a dungeon filled with gingerbread people who used to be REAL CHILDREN! With the help of the audience, Miss Licorice is defeated and Hansel and Gretel are on their way home to caring parents and leafy vegetables.
