Birmingham Children’s Theatre, one of the nation’s oldest and largest professional theatre companies for young audiences, offers performing arts camps for children of all ages. BCT’s Summer Camps are an excellent way for youth ages 4 to 18 to collaborate with other campers and learn skills that will benefit them in the classroom and beyond. With sessions throughout June and July and offerings for all ages, we have something for everyone this summer at BCT!
BCT’s Summer Camps will be held at Shades Valley High School. (6100 Old Leeds Rd)

BCT’s Imagination Party offers one-week half-day camps for children ages four to seven. Using a variety of themes as springboards, campers explore story-telling, art, song, instrument play, and imagination. Through these various drama, music, movement, and visual art activities, these classes promote confidence, self-esteem, and creative expression while working on developmental skills such as active listening and sharing.
One week, half-day camps (9am - 12pm) for ages 4-7
5 sessions available throughout June & July
An immersive experience in a variety of performance areas, Players Studio campers have the opportunity to engage with the theatrical process giving them an opportunity to learn, grow, and discover new interests and talents.Campers will also have the opportunity to perform in a one act play! While working within the framework of the theatrical process, these students will learn to collaborate with cast mates and expand their communication skills.
Two week, full-day camps (9am - 4pm) for ages 8-12
3 sessions available throughout June & July
Get a little more! Players + is for students previously enrolled in Players Studio or BCT's teen programs. Focused on technique training for older students, this two-week intensive is for young actors looking to advance their acting, movement and voice skills.

SUMMER YOUTH PRODUCTION
THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL: YOUTH EDITION
This month-long session is for teens who want to take their theatre production and performance skills to the next level while working alongside theatre professionals on a fully staged musical!
May 29th - June 29th, 2024
Month long full-day camps (9am - 4pm) for ages 14-18
Birmingham City School students will be able to seamlessly join rehearsals on June 5th after their semester ends.
