Birmingham Children’s Theatre is holding youth auditions
for Narnia: The Musical

BIRMINGHAM, AL  (LOCAL HIRE ONLY).
Birmingham Children’s Theatre is auditioning youth performers between 12-18 years old for the roles of Edmund and Lucy in our holiday production of Narnia: The Musical. 

Rehearsals and performances take place Tuesdays – Saturdays between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm, typically in 4 to 5 hour sessions. Daytime availability is a must. We will make every effort to work with a child’s school to coordinate necessary paperwork and to accommodate testing schedules. 

Narnia: The Musical is directed by BCT’s Executive Artistic Director Ashley Woods and is part of BCT’s professional MainStage season; youth performers will be working alongside local professionals. The production time commitment is October 7th, 2025 through December 20th, 2025.

Please fill out the audition form (Link HERE)  no later than Wednesday, July 30th, 2025.

You will need to provide the following as part of the video submission:

  • A 60-90 second video audition package consisting of a monologue and a song 

    • The video can be attached as a file, or YouTube, Dropbox, and Google Drive links are all accepted. 

  • Include a headshot and a resume that includes past performance experience (if any) attached to the email.

  • Please confirm that you are aware that BCT’s rehearsal and performance schedule take place during the regular school day, and you and your school are able to make accommodations for your child to be available during those times

Callbacks will be held at Birmingham Children’s Theatre on Monday, August 4th  beginning at 4:00pm. Callbacks are by invitation only.

Birmingham Children's Theatre hires actors through local and video auditions, as well as attending the Southeastern Theatre Conference each year. Local auditions will be posted to this page when available. You must be 18 years or older to be compensated as an actor.

Students are welcome to audition for our season as well, but must be available during school hours for rehearsals and performances. Youth auditions will be listed separately. If you would like to be added to a mailing list for upcoming youth auditions, please send an email to auditions@bct123.org with the subject line "YOUTH AUDITIONS."
