Birmingham Children's Theatre hires actors through local and video auditions, as well as attending the Southeastern Theatre Conference each year.

Birmingham Children's Theatre is seeking a performer (aged 18+) of Latin/Hispanic descent to authentically portray Flora, a young Spanish-speaking girl, in our upcoming production of Flora Meets a Bee.
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (LOCAL HIRE ONLY) All positions are Paid.
Role Available
Flora (a Latina foster child, 8 years old) A curious, imaginative eight-year-old girl adjusting to life with a new foster family, Flora is playful, expressive, and full of wonder. Performers should be comfortable with movement-based performance and interactive theatre. Spanish language proficiency is strongly preferred.
Production Details
Rehearsals: October 6th – October 20th, 2026
Rehearsals are typically held Tuesday–Saturday between the hours of 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Performances: October 21st – December 4th, 2026
This production will consist of In-house performances as well as Touring performances
Performances take place during daytime hours for school and family audiences - daytime availability is a MUST.

Students are welcome to audition for our season as well, but must be available during school hours for rehearsals and performances. Youth auditions will be listed separately. If you would like to be added to a mailing list for upcoming youth auditions, please send an email to auditions@bct123.org with the subject line "YOUTH AUDITIONS."
You must be 16 years or older to be compensated as an actor.
