Hurry Up...and Wait is a charming new Theatre for the Very Young (TVY) production that follows two siblings through the wonderfully slow adventure of planting seeds and waiting to see what grows. Warm, funny, and gently interactive, this new work for children ages 0–5 gives young learners a joyful entry point into conversations about patience, nature, and the quiet rewards of slowing down. A wonderful complement to early childhood curricula in social-emotional learning and early science discovery.

Great for our very youngest theatre-goers, shows in the PlaySpace focus on the fundamentals of early childhood development while providing an engaging and entertaining story. These shows are always interactive featuring music, movement, rhyme, repetition, and other building blocks of learning. The PlaySpace is an open area “Yes Space” where children and their grown-ups are encouraged to roam, make noise, touch things, and get the wiggles out; and the performances are always relaxed, gentle, and sensory-friendly.
Recommended for ages 0-5 years. Approximate performance time: 35-45 minutes.
